Chemistry is a fascinating and diverse field that impacts almost every aspect of life, including areas such as medicines, plastics, energy, and water quality. The Chemistry Department's goal is to provide rigorous preparation of citizens whose career paths require expertise in chemistry. Additionally, faculty members strive to contribute to a chemically literate society through teaching (with classrooms, labs, and research), scholarship, and service.

学生 can choose from a Bachelor of Science in chemistry, a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with education emphasis, a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry, a chemistry minor, and a certificate in green chemistry.

Chemistry majors are well prepared to attend graduate or professional schools in a variety of areas, including chemistry, medicine, education, biochemistry, and pharmacy.
